I need to give birth to these words, becoming more imminent with each contraction. I cannot hold onto them for much longer. How long have I been pregnant with the words I wonder, growing from a seed to a grape, a plum, an apple, a melon and then expanding my capacity to the breams until it needs to be birthed?
Words written; then forgotten.
These are vignettes, musings, figurings and scatterings of the happenstance in my mind.
This is about womanhood, motherhood, otherhood and diverse lives. This is about the visible and the invisible, the shadow and the dark - the two interchanging, co-mingling co-inhabiting, until she is whole again. It is about a single yet multiple. The fragmented parts, the inner and outer world, the past, present and future, all collide into a beautiful cacophony that this is life.
How do we see and reframe the shadow?
Who do we reclaim what has been lost?
How do we catch and become the light?
How do we, unbecome, then become, ourselves?
The story is yet unwritten.
